This session presents key insights from the 6th edition of Sign Language Interpreting in Europe, authored by Maya de Wit. It will explore the development and operation of NASLIs — their objectives, structure, and roles, particularly in advocacy.

Collaborative workshops
Frankie Picron | European Union of the Deaf
Drawing on key survey results and NASLI input, this workshop will explore concrete case studies. Participants will reflect on the dynamics of allyship between Deaf institutions and NASLIs, share challenges and good practices, and begin identifying key elements that could inform future advocacy tools. EUD will also provide useful legal references, including CRPD articles and relevant EU legislation.
